DNS Records #

By default, when a standalone domain is added to a hosting package, we reset the DNS records to the default StackCP records.

This ensures normal services can function, including emails and the website itself.

If you have a standalone domain with custom DNS that you wish to add to a hosting package, you need to be aware that the DNS will be reset to make way for the default DNS.

To maintain the custom DNS, you must re-add it once the domain is assigned to the web hosting package to ensure those services continue to run as normal.
