Time of a Website Migration #

The duration of a website and mailbox migration depends on the amount of data being transferred and the complexity of the website. While some migrations can take up to three hours, the average time is around 30 minutes.

You can continue with other tasks while the migration is in progress, as it will complete independently even if you close the tab.

There is no difference in migration time whether you are on a Shared hosting plan, managed hosting in the StackCP Cloud, with AWS or GCP, or any other hosting plan we offer.

Get Notified When Your Website Migration is Complete #

You’ll receive an email notification when the migration is complete. This can be disabled in Migrations Overview if you prefer. You can check the migration status at any point by going to ‘Migrations Overview’ in StackCP and viewing the ‘Current Migrations’ and ‘Completed Migrations’ panes.

Intelligent Queuing System #

The Migration Centre uses an intelligent queuing system to move data to our platforms, so during particularly busy periods, there may be a small wait before your migration is initiated. This is aimed at optimising server performance.
