Can I Install a Third-Party SSL Certificate In StackCP

Third-Party SSL #

Yes, you can install an existing external or third-party SSL certificate on CP CLOUD HOSTING using StackCP.

Your certificate provider will need to provide the following sections for us to install the SSL certificate:

  • Certificate
  • Private Key
  • CA Bundle / Intermediate Certificate

These details will need to be entered within the SSL/TLS section of your StackCP hosting package:

  • Go to Manage Hosting
  • Select the package
  • Navigate to SSL/TLS

Note: Your Private Key will have been provided when you generated a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) using your organisation’s details. If you have any questions about this, the certificate provider will be able to help.

Installation Time: SSL certificates can take up to 30 minutes to install on the web server. If your A records are pointing to the IP address of the hosting package, your site should show as secure.

If you don’t have an external SSL, you can either apply the Free StackCP SSL or purchase a StackCP SSL from the control panel.
