MYSQL Database #
Creating MySQL databases is simple and quick with StackCP.
Note: For packages hosted on our WordPress platform, this option is unavailable due to its WP-optimised nature. To create a MySQL database, you’ll need to perform a Platform Transfer to move the website to our Linux Web Hosting platform.
Important: Starter Hosting packages are limited to one MySQL database. To create more databases, you can upgrade your hosting package through StackCP or purchase an additional hosting plan.
Steps to Create a New MySQL Database: #
- Log in to StackCP:
- Access your StackCP account and log in.
- Select Manage Hosting:
- Choose Manage next to the hosting package you wish to create a MySQL database for.
- Navigate to MySQL Databases:
- Under Web Tools, select MySQL Databases. Here you can:
- Create new MySQL databases (each with a maximum size of 1024MB or 1GB).
- Manage existing databases.
- Add additional MySQL users to databases.
- Manage your additional MySQL users.
- Under Web Tools, select MySQL Databases. Here you can:
- Add a New MySQL Database:
- Under Add a new MySQL Database, choose a name for your database. Database names must be between 6 and 20 characters long. A suffix will be automatically added to avoid name collisions with other users.
- Create the Database:
- Once you have chosen a name, click Create Database. Your new MySQL database will automatically appear in the Manage MySQL Databases section underneath.
- Manage Your Database:
- From here, you can change the automatically generated password, monitor usage, remove your MySQL database, or log in to your database.
By following these steps, you can efficiently set up and manage MySQL databases within your StackCP control panel, ensuring seamless hosting services with CP CLOUD HOSTING.
